WAYACHAMP Mentorship Program
6-month paid role | Ideal for tertiary music students
WAYACHAMP is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated tertiary student to join our team. This position is ideal for someone interested in learning more about teaching chamber music and gaining insight into WAYACHAMP operations.
About the Role
This is a paid, casual mentorship position running for 6 months, with possible option to continue afterward in a more formal capacity.
The role involves:

2 hours of regular work per week, which can be completed from home, at times that suit you.

Assisting at WAYACHAMP events, including Summer WAYAJAM (31 Jan), Tuesday afternoon sessions at UWA and Autumn Academy (7 – 10 April).
Key Responsibilities

Music library duties

Documentation and administrative support

Assisting with teaching during sessions

Setting up and packing down for rehearsals and events

Basic graphic design and support with social media content
Skills & Attributes
We’re looking for someone who is:

Enthusiastic about working with children and teaching

Interested in chamber music education
-
Friendly, reliable, and confident with people

Organised and able to manage small tasks independently

Familiar with Excel and Canva
Requirements

A valid Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain one

Remuneration

In accordance with the Miscellaneous Award (MA000104)
Junior Casual Ordinary hours payment ranges between $20 - $30 per hour (with casual loading) depending on age.
