A B O U T
Open to students of violin, viola, cello or piano aged 11 - 17, WAYACHAMP provides a unique opportunity for young students to develop their musicianship skills under the tutelage of Australia's best chamber musicians. Students are placed in ensembles and allocated music which is rehearsed and tutored under the guidance of the mentors. Students also participate in a variety of workshops, chamber orchestra and a Final Concert.
WAYACHAMP Perth Schedule:
Monday 24th September: 9:15 Arrive and register, 9:30 - 3:30
Tuesday 25th September: 9:30 - 3:30
Wednesday 26th September: 9:30 - 3:30
Thursday 27th September: 9:30 - 3:30 plus performance in Final Concert 1 or 2 that evening (times TBC)
Venue: UWA Conservatorium of Music
Open to: Students aged 11 - 17 of violin, viola, cello (Grade 4 or above) or piano (Grade 7 or above)
Fee per participant: $250
Registrations close: July 27
No audition is necessary however on August 3 registered participants will receive a set of excerpts which are to be recorded and sent back by August 17.
