Spring Academy 2022

WAYACHAMP's 4-day program provides a unique opportunity for young students to experience the thrill of chamber music. Students participate in two small ensembles, a variety of workshops, chamber orchestra and a Final Concert. 

Open to string students aged 10 - 17

Level: at least grade 2 (AMEB or equivalent)

(Due to limited pianos at the venue, piano students are currently not accepted at Spring Academy 2022. Please enquire if are interested in attending as a pianist)

Both pre-formed groups and individuals are accepted.

Dates and times:

Tuesday 27 September 9:30am - 3:30/4:00pm*

Wednesday 28 September 9:30am - 3:30/4:00pm

Thursday 29 September 9:30am - 3:30/4:00pm

Friday 30 September 9:30am - 3:30/4:00pm

Final Concerts Friday 30 September 5:00pm (Masters) / 7:00pm (Elite)

* Masters stream students finish each day at 3:30pm / Elite stream students finish each day at 4:00pm. You will be notified which stream you are in after the recordings have been received.

Daytime Venue: Bob Hawke College, Subiaco

Final Concert Venue: UWA Conservatorium of Music

Tickets

Trio package: $350 per student (includes ticket for 1 + WAYACHAMP t-shirt + WAYACHAMP tote bag) (early bird: $320)

Duo package: $335 per student (includes ticket for 1 + WAYACHAMP t-shirt) (early bird: $305)

Basic package: $315 per student (includes ticket for 1) (early bird: $285)

No audition is necessary however registered participants will receive a set of excerpts which are to be recorded. This assists with placing students in ensembles.
