Autumn Academy 2022

WAYACHAMP's 4-day program provides a unique opportunity for young students to experience the thrill of chamber music. Students participate in two small ensembles, a variety of workshops, chamber orchestra and a Final Concert. 

Open to students aged 10 - 17

Violin, viola or cello at least grade 2 level (AMEB or equivalent)

Piano students at least grade 6 level (AMEB or equivalent)

Both pre-formed groups and individuals are accepted.

Dates and times:

Tuesday 19th April 9:30am - 3:30/4:00pm*

Wednesday 20th April 9:30am - 3:30/4:00pm

Thursday 21st April 9:30am - 3:30/4:00pm

Friday 22nd April 9:30am - 3:30/4:00pm

Final Concerts Friday 22nd April 4:30pm (Masters) / 7:00pm (Elite)

* Masters stream students finish each day at 3:30pm / Elite stream students finish each day at 4:00pm. You will be notified which stream you are in after the recordings have been received.

Tickets

Trio package: $350 per student (includes ticket for 1 + WAYACHAMP t-shirt + WAYACHAMP tote bag) (early bird: $320)

Duo package: $335 per student (includes ticket for 1 + WAYACHAMP t-shirt) (early bird: $305)

Basic package: $315 per student (includes ticket for 1) (early bird: $285)

No audition is necessary however registered participants will receive a set of excerpts which are to be recorded. This assists with placing students in ensembles.

Early Bird registrations close Monday 14 February

All other registrations must close Monday 28 February

Mandatory Vaccination at UWA

Please note that students aged 16 and over will be required to email their digital vaccination certificate for COVID-19 (or medical exemption) prior to the commencement of the program. Digital certificates will also be required to be shown by all visitors aged 16 and over upon entry to the Final concerts. Unvaccinated parents/guardians will be asked to remain in the car park when collecting students - this is a UWA policy and we thank you for your co-operation
