What is it?

Students applying to WAYACHAMP Academy as a pre-formed group have the chance to win the AUSTA Pre-formed Group Scholarship which entitles each member (up to four members) to have 100% of their application fees reimbursed.

The Scholarship was created to encourage more students to join with their friends, to both enhance their WAYACHAMP experience and encourage the students to continue playing together after the Program finishes.

Who can apply?

Any student who is eligible for the WAYACHAMP Program, ie. Violin/Viola/Cello Grade 2+ or Piano Grade 6+ and aged 10 - 17 can apply. They must apply with an ensemble of between 3 and 5 players of any combination of the above instruments, and will play with this ensemble during WAYACHAMP.

How to apply?

Students must complete the application form individually, including with payment, noting the names of their ensemble members on the entry form. Entries must be received by the final closing date of the program.

In addition, ensembles are required to send in a video recording of themselves playing together for up to 2 minutes. This is due by the final closing date. Videos can be emailed to

Students of pre-formed groups are still required to complete the individual recorded excerpt component after the closing date.
